Over the years we have been lucky to have a superb team of individuals involved with Hyde Fundraisers.

In 2007 we launched our Junior Members Scheme - where, under supervision of adults, children of some of the members actively helped at various events to support our charities. This included assisting with costuming, security, photostand and being generally helpful to members at events. We are delighted to announce the first of these to successfully complete their participation and qualify for their Junior Member titles are - Andrew & Micheal Haines. We can also welcome Adam & Christian Handley to the Junior Member team after successfully completing their qualifying events over the past few months. Well done boys! Other Junior members currently working to complete this process are - Luke Handley, Nathan Cullen and Scott Handy.

Here is our current who's who of Hyde Fundraisers members....

NAME: Garry Cullen. LOCATION: Cheshire. ABOUT: Garry has been with Fundraisers from the very beginning and acts as Treasurer and a Manager of the group. Not a Dr Who fan as such this didn't stop Garry getting a Police Box! Perhaps his biggest challenge to date was as the Producer for the TRIAL OF DAVROS stageshow which celebrated 20 years of Hyde Fundraisers.

NAME: Jen Holt LOCATION: Leicestershire. ABOUT: Jen came across Hyde Fundraisers during a visit to the MOSI Dr Who Exhibition in 2007. Her enthusiasm and commitment instantly won everyone over to welcome her into the group. She has already tried her hand at being an Exillon but later in 2008 plans to unveil Harlequin!!

NAME: Andy Loring. LOCATION: Derbyshire. ABOUT: Andy, and his family, have been involved in Hyde Fundraisers since 2002. Initially Andy had a superb silver Dalek (Death style) which attended events up to 2005. He also invested in Sandtrooper armour, and a magnificent R2D2. Lynne has been seen as Lara Croft and is considering another character! He is also been one of the managers of the group since October 2003.

NAME: Kevin Taylor. LOCATION: Lancashire. ABOUT: Kevin, and his mum, started Fundraisers back in 1985 doing pubcrawls around Tameside. He is another Manager of the group. Apart from a Dalek (Genesis style) and a Cyberman his other characters include Darth Vader, Heamavore and he recently added the Sycorax Leader to his menagerie. Perhaps known as one of the high profile flag wavers of HFRS!

NAME: Wayne Broughton. LOCATION: Cheshire. ABOUT: Wayne had been aware of Fundraisers for a while before taking the brave step of joining the gang with his better half, Melanie. Since joining the group in 2004, he has certainly been one of the most active members attending and managing events. One of his projects was the Daphne Ashbrook event organised by Galaxy 4. He is also Secretary to the group and supervisies the Membership process.

NAME: Ray Phillips. LOCATION: North East. ABOUT: Ray made his debut with his fantastic RESURRECTION style Dalek at our Children In Need collection in November 2003. He has been a staunch supporter of the TRIAL OF DAVROS (Appearing as a Timelord) along with the various film recordings. He added a great Predator costume to his collection in 2004 and was responsible for creating the Delegate Vintel for the SPACE YEAR segment. In 2006 Ray became the fifth member of the group's management team with special responsibility for character costume clearance and supervision.

NAME: Mike Bargh. LOCATION: Doncaster. ABOUT: Mike Works on local station Trax FM as DJ on the 2-6 The Afternoon Show. He has Full size Tardis, K9 - it has taken him a good few years to finish him and A NSD! I His K-9 is rather too like the real thing with constant demands to repair or fix him ! Mike joined Hyde Fundraisers after seeing them in action at Crystal Peaks in may 2006.

NAME: Jan Southgate. LOCATION: Hyde. ABOUT: Jan had become aware of Hyde Fundraisers after meeting them at the MOSI Dr Who Exhibition in 2007. In February 2008 she threw herself into her first event at Spaceport Merseyside and hasn't looked back since!

NAME: Les Hollis LOCATION: West Midlands. ABOUT: Les has been involved with Hyde Fundraisers from the mid nineties helping with our events and conventions. His previous characters have included Sea Devil and Cybermen but in 2004 he took the plunge to get his own Clone Trooper. He has been one of the organisers of the CULT TV event plus conventions such as RESURRECTION and DESTINY. With his wife Karon they have son Samuel, who was joined by brother Joe in December 2005!

NAME: Steve Haines. LOCATION: Lancashire. ABOUT: Steve had been aware of Hyde Fundraisers for many years having known Garry and supported a few events in the past. In 2006 he grabbed the opportunity to get more involved and has been Pudsey Bear, Exillon, Cybermen and very soon an Ood! With his two boys they have already proved a great help to the group at events and burst with enthusiasm.

NAME: Rob Hull LOCATION: Doncaster. ABOUT: Rob is something of a Dalek fan and learned about the group through member Mike Bargh. His first experience was at Spaceport in February 2008 and already he has attended many events and apart from Dalek wrangler has also donned a Sycorax costume!

NAME: Chrissy Holsgrove LOCATION: Merseyside. ABOUT: Chrissy was amazed when she first encountered Hyde Fundraisers at Spaceport. Having a resemblance to Catherine Tate one of her friends urged her to contact the group and get involved. It's true to say Chrissy has thrown herself into the group and her son Jamie looks like following suit!

NAME: Andrew Green. LOCATION: Yorkshire. ABOUT: Andy joined the gang after his debut event at Bradford in November 2003. He is currently proud owner of a Special Weapon's Dalek, Exillon and one of the Timelord costumes from the stageshow TRIAL OF DAVROS. He certainly made his mark as Hieryonmous at the Galaxy 4 event in 2004!

NAME: Mike Morris. LOCATION: Manchester. ABOUT: Mike helped out at many of the early fundraisers events, especially the REMEMBRANCE Conventions. He has now returned and has already menaced the public dressed in one of our scarecrows!

NAME: Christine Glazebrook. LOCATION: Lancashire ABOUT: Christine finds herself pursuing husband Stuart who gets carried away in Cyber-costume. She has recently started attending more and more events and found herself addicted to the fun and socialising that Hyde Fundraisers endear at events we attend.

NAME: Rob Ritchie. LOCATION: Sunderland. ABOUT: Rob's involvmnt came through Phil Robinson who asked him to create some effects for TOD filming. This then lead to Rob providing some excellent original musical score for the stageshow.

NAME: Hilton Fitzsimmons. LOCATION: Preston. ABOUT: Since the group began Hilton has had input at various events and created a Zygon. For TRIAL OF DAVROS he was Dalek Operator, Draconian and stage assistant for the actual show. His talents also came to the fore for creating various stage props and the impressive Timelord collars. He's also aquired a Stormtrooper, currently working on an Axon and also various other props and costumes - no stopping him now!

NAME: SP Bowling. LOCATION: Yorkshire. ABOUT: SP first came along to our event in Bradford 2003 and instantly pitched in to help our fundraising for Children In Need. Since then his involvment has snowballed with providing a large amount of Dalek voices for TRIAL OF DAVROS and also playing one of the Timelords on stage! He is also the lucky owner of the actual Davros chair from the stageshow and plans to make many appearances as the creator of the Daleks at future events.

NAME: Richard Myers. LOCATION: Lancashire. ABOUT: Richard was first involved in Hyde Fundraisers back in 2003 and became involved in our Virtual Photostudio. After leaving the group for 18 months he has returned once again to offer his assistance on the photostudio and working on his own costume project - Mickey Mouse.

NAME: Derek Handley. LOCATION: London. ABOUT: Derek has been a strong supporter of Hyde Fundraisers helping with conventions, special events and co-ordinating filming of SPACE YEAR scenes in London, in 2005, with Jeremy Bulloch for TRIAL OF DAVROS. He has an impressive selection of original and replica monsters and props including a Dalek. With a very understanding Michelle at his side Im sure we will see the children take the mantle at events in the future too - in particular Adam as a Stormtrooper, i'm sure!

NAME: Stuart Glazebrook. LOCATION: Lancashire. ABOUT: An Icon from the early days of DWAS, Stuart has been Cybermen and the caped crusader with many years association with Fundraisers. He even tried a Stormtrooper out in Llangollen and of course operated a Dalek. His extensive knowldge of the Blackpool Dr Who Exhibition helped set up the Fundraisers Exhibition website.

NAME: Steve Hird. LOCATION: Lancashire. ABOUT: In 2002 Steve brought Robocop to Fundraisers to keep us in order. He's also a part-time Terminator and a Star Wars fan! At various events he has been in Kevin's Vader but now he has his own dark lord of the Sith to keep order. Steve also worked on designs for the TRIAL OF DAVROS promotional leaflets as well as backgrounds for the new CGi screen.

NAME: Melanie Broughton. LOCATION: Cheshire. ABOUT: Melanie was instrumental in encouraging husband Wayne to join up with Hyde Fundraisers. She was one of the first members to get to grips with the new CGi software and has proved a great assistant during the various filming segments for TRIAL OF DAVROS. In 2004 she was in Chester to greet Colin Baker as a growling Exillon!

NAME: Duncan McCormick. LOCATION: Cheshire. ABOUT: Duncan first assisted Hyde Fundraisers by becoming a Dalek operator during filming for THE TRIAL OF DAVROS. He has since been a Cyberman, Voc Robot and one of the caped Crusaders - Robin!

NAME: Jon Hall. LOCATION: Cheshire. ABOUT: Jon was prompted to get involved by his brother in law and has recently upgraded his Scout and Fett to a Clone Trooper! He is also involved in the website design.

NAME: Rachel Bowling. LOCATION: Yorkshire. ABOUT: Rachel probably never expected to be as involved in Hyde Fundraisers after SP came aboard as she has. She has been one of the leaders on the CGi photoscreen with her mastery of the software and technique. Since coming along to Buxton in 2004, Rachel has proved her value to the group.

NAME: Adam Brown. LOCATION: Cheshire. ABOUT: Adam completed his full size Dalek (Genesis style) in 2005 with help from his dad and tutor. He created the replica as part of his coursework at Tameside College and attracted quite a bit of press attention. His first event was Ashton Sci Fi weekend 2005 and he's eager to Exterminate at further events.

NAME: Deborah Fenwick. LOCATION: North East. ABOUT: Debs first came along to our event in Grimsby with a half size Dalek and K-9 in tow. Her full size Dalek (Maggie) has made appearances at Memorabilia earlier this year and other events.

NAME: Simon Morrell. LOCATION: Cheshire. ABOUT: Simon first came to our attention when he debuted his impressive radio controlled New Series Dalek at the Manchester Science Museum! He has helped dramatically with mechanising our Dalek Sec, making OOd's eyes flare red and bring the Sycorax to life at various events!!

NAME: John Field. LOCATION: Yorkshire. ABOUT: John is an elder statesman of Hyde Fundraisers having participated in many early events and town centre collections. Many fans know him for his various interpretations of The Doctor but perhaps his 4th Doctor is by far the favourite. In 2003 we recognised John's input with a special presentation at the Dimensions Convention in recognition for his many years of input.

NAME: Dave Brown. LOCATION: Cheshire. ABOUT: A recent addition to the fold, Dave was a key figure in helping Adam (his son and member) complete his Dalek project. He has already attended Signatopia in Sheffield and the Sci-Fi Weekend event.

NAME: Mick Handy. LOCATION: North East. ABOUT: After joining the group, Mick became various monsters before creating his own Dr Constantine and Droid. Apart from those characters he can frequently be seen as an Ood and Scarecrow, even Winnie The Pooh!
